Building safety complaints
If you have any concerns about fire or structural safety issues in your building, such as damaged fire doors, blocked escape routes, flammable cladding, cracks in the building or a fault with the alarm or smoke ventilation system, please report it to us.
How to report a fire or structural safety issue
The quickest way to report a fire or structural safety issue in your building is by calling 0300 456 9996.
Alternatively, you can complete our online form. However, there may be a delay in responding to issues reported online.
Important information
We have a legal duty to assess and manage risks in high-rise buildings (at least seven storeys or 18 metres tall) relating to the spread of fire and structural collapse.
This includes responding to and addressing resident concerns about the fire and structural safety of their building.
Making a complaint
You can make a complaint if you’ve reported a fire or structural safety issue in your building and are unhappy with how we dealt with it – and we’ll try our best to put things right.
Additionally, if you live in a high-rise building, you can complain about our performance in meeting our legal duties under the Building Safety Act – for example, communications to residents and how we manage building safety issues.
You can also refer your complaint to the Building Safety Regulator if you live in a high-rise building and you’re unsatisfied with the outcome of your complaint.
