New cleaning contractors are now in place for residents living in London and the South East of England. Here, you’ll find information about who the new contractors are, how to report an issue and what they will clean.

The new cleaning contractors for each of our five London regions are:

  • East Inner – Pinnacle
  • London SE and Kent – Chequers
  • London NW – Just Ask
  • East Outer – Bidvest Noonan
  • London SW – New Green 

Please note that this excludes areas where there is an L&Q Caretaker who carries out the cleaning duties.

There are also no changes to your communal cleaning services if you live in Trafford or the North West of England.

New reporting system

To report an issue with the communal cleaning standard, please contact your Neighbourhood Housing Lead (NHL), and they'll raise it directly with the contractor through our new instant reporting system.

If you are an L&Q Living resident in supported or sheltered accommodation, please get in touch with your Supported Housing Officer.

Your NHL or Supported Housing Officer can flag issues directly to contractors using this software, and cleaners will be required to show evidence that they have completed the job.

This will enable us to hold contractors to a high standard of cleanliness.

Frequency of cleaning visits

All buildings will receive at least one visit per week, with some blocks receiving more.

To request a copy of your building's schedule, please get in touch with your NHL or Supported Housing Officer.

What the contractors will clean

Standard weekly tasks will include:

  • sweeping, vacuuming or mopping floors as required
  • removing litter from indoor and outdoor shared areas
  • sanitising and damp wiping touch points
  • cleaning the inside of communal windows if required
  • cleaning bin stores, including outside ones for use by the block

As well as the above, the new cleaning contractors will complete the following twice per year:

  • cleaning and buffing polished floors
  • deep cleaning carpeted floors*
  • cleaning outdoor bike storage areas
  • cleaning and washing indoor and outdoor bins

* In L&Q Living blocks, carpets and upholstery will be cleaned four times a year.
