
Registering your pets
You need to register certain type of pets with us or the relevant agency.
Dogs
All dogs over eight weeks old must be microchipped – get your dog microchipped.
We need you to confirm your dog is neutered, microchipped and well cared for.
Assistance dogs don’t need to be registered.
Cats
All cats over 20 weeks old must be microchipped and registered – get your cat microchipped.
We need you to confirm your cat is microchipped and well cared for.
Birds
If you keep poultry or other captive birds, you must register with the Animal and Plant Health Agency.
Popular indoor birds, like budgies, parrots, cockatiels, and finches don’t need to be registered as long as they stay indoors.
