Suicide Prevention Campaign
We launched our Suicide Prevention Campaign on 10 September, in line with World Suicide Prevention Day. This campaign is aimed at L&Q’s construction sector and will run until the end of March 2025.
This is a vital issue for the construction sector, where many may face various pressures and challenges, such as long hours, demanding deadlines, physical injuries, social isolation, and stigma around mental health.
We don't want anyone to suffer in silence or feel hopeless. That's why we have developed a Suicide Prevention campaign for our sites, which contains various materials and resources to help identify and address suicide risk, provide support and care to those in need, and foster a positive and supportive work environment.
We will be working with our People Safety and Wellbeing Team, Papyrus, Occupational Health provider, Mates in Mind, ANDYSMANCLUB and others to bring you a programme of campaign events and material you can use across your sites.
We’ll be running awareness events through until March 2025. You’ll also find some links below to organisations that can help further.
