Quids in! Hackney and Waltham Forest residents get access to independent financial advice and support

We’re here to support residents struggling to manage their finances and who may need expert advice.

The cost-of-living crisis has caused financial hardship for many and it can be confusing figuring out where to go for help.

That’s why our Foundation has teamed up with Clean Slate to deliver “Quids in!” intending to provide money guidance to residents on low incomes in Hackney and Waltham Forest, London.

In addition to one-to-one support, residents can access group workshops, magazines, guides and digital information.

Matthew Corbett, Director of the L&Q Foundation, said:

“We’ve partnered with Clean Slate to offer the Quids In! service in two of our priority boroughs where we have a high density of homes and residents facing inequalities. We wanted a service that’s accessible and makes residents feel comfortable with coming forward and asking for help.

“We’re pleased with how well Quids In! has been received locally and hope that it gives residents the support they need to ease their money worries, especially at this time of year when budgets are stretched.”

Clean Slate helps people living in poverty to maximise their income and reduce their outgoings and in so doing, gives them skills, confidence, knowledge and resilience.
