A Harrow scout group is celebrating after their scout hut enjoyed a complete revamp thanks to refurbishment specialist Equans

The much-needed refurbishments at the Sixth Harrow Scout Group building on Walton Road included redecorating six rooms, upgrading the plumbing and repairs to windows and ceilings.

Dev Davda, Cub Scout Leader at Harrow Scout Group, said:

"The work that has been completed so far has been fantastic, and the scout group cannot be more grateful to Equans and the team."

Deborah Bluck, Project Manager at Equans, said:

"Equans is delighted to have delivered this fantastic project at The Harrow Scout Centre. Our supply chain's collaborative efforts, donating their time, expertise, and materials, have resulted in a successful transformation.

“The positive feedback from the Scout Centre reflects the tremendous success achieved thanks to all involved. I’d also like to thank our subcontractors CML, Ben Ireson NJL and Install Direct, whose generous donations of time and materials significantly contributed to the project's success."

Equans is currently partnering with housing association L&Q, to deliver new roofs, windows, kitchens, bathrooms and carry out energy efficiency works across West London.

They are one of 10 partners working on L&Q’s major works investment programme, which will see the organisation invest around £3bn over 15 years to improve the safety, comfort and environmental performance of residents’ homes.

Mark Newstead, Director of Major Programmes at L&Q, added:

"It’s clear to see that contributing to this project was a rewarding experience for everyone involved.  Knowing that the efforts have positively impacted the Harrow Scout Group and their facilities brings a sense of fulfilment to our commitment to social responsibility and community enrichment."
