Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and the nation

It’s with great sadness that last month we learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

People across the country and the world have been paying their respects and remembering The Queen. Our residents at Goldlay Gardens in Chelmsford have put together a glass display with messages for the Queen, and a board with pictures to show their respect:

Resident Paul (Sam) Allen from Goldlay Gardens said:

“She made me feel like there was order and balance in the country and people had a voice that needed to and could be heard.”

Resident Sophia Mitsuda-Ashworth said:

“I heard everyone singing and I’ve heard that some other Presidents from other countries went to join this funeral…I feel so sad about the Queen”.

Chief Executive, Fiona Fletcher-Smith sends her condolences:

“We are all united in grief at the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving British monarch, who served our country dutifully with grace, dignity, and wisdom and with incredible distinction during her reign. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and the nation. We have lost a much-loved and incredibly admired public figure. May she rest in peace.”

The state funeral of Her Majesty The Queen took place at Westminster Abbey on Monday 19 September at 11am. You can still leave a message in the Book of Condolences available on the Royal website.

“She was my Queen, I was so sad, I remember where I was when I found out she had died, I will never forget that day.”
