Supporting young people in local communities

We’re investing £120,000 in community-led projects that will create positive opportunities for young people living in six of our priority estates across London and Trafford.

We’re inviting voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to apply for funding to deliver projects that create positive opportunities for young people living on some of our priority estates.

The Young People’s Programme forms part of our Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) Implementation Plan and supports our ambition to become a sector leader in preventing ASB by investing in local communities and creating opportunities for young people to thrive.

Successful organisations will work alongside residents, young people and local partners to co-design projects that reflect local needs and deliver lasting benefits.

We’re looking for projects that inspire, engage and support young people through activities such as:

  • youth outreach and engagement
  • mentoring programmes
  • diversionary activities
  • sports, arts and creative projects
  • skills development and youth provision

 

Eligible areas and funding available

Projects will be delivered across specific postcode areas within six priority boroughs:

  • Waltham Forest (E10 5) – applications for £10,000 - £20,000 encouraged
  • Newham (E20 1) – applications for £10,000 - £20,000 encouraged
  • Lewisham (SE16 2) – applications for £10,000 - £15,000 encouraged
  • Croydon (CR0 7) – applications for £10,000 - £15,000 encouraged
  • Trafford (M15 5) – applications for £10,000 encouraged
  • Haringey (N22 6) – applications for £10,000 encouraged

Funding will be awarded from a total programme budget of £120,000, with grants allocated according to local need.

As we're seeking to achieve meaningful impact, organisations are encouraged to submit applications for a minimum of £5,000.

 

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from organisations with experience of delivering projects that improve outcomes for young people and strengthen local communities.

Applications should demonstrate how projects will:

  • engage young people in positive, meaningful activities
  • respond to local community needs
  • work collaboratively with residents and local partners
  • deliver measurable outcomes that contribute to safer neighbourhoods and reduced ASB

Application process

The application window opens on 3 August and closes at 9am on 14 September 2026 – L&Q reserves the right to close the window sooner.

All applications will be acknowledged. If you have not received an acknowledgment within three working days, please contact us.

Applications will be reviewed by our Grants Panel, and applicants will be notified of outcomes by 25 September 2026.
