Group Director, Development and Sales

Fiona is responsible for the delivery of 100,000 quality new homes over the next 10 years, while improving the customer journey for people renting or buying L&Q homes.

A graduate of the University of Northumbria and the London School of Economics, Fiona has worked in a variety of voluntary and public sector roles including advising homeless people in Dublin, housing management, development and regeneration and strategy and policy development.

Fiona worked at the London Borough of Hackney as Corporate Director of Neighbourhoods and Regeneration. She was part of the small team of senior officers leading the authority from an Audit Commission ranking of 1 star to 3 stars. Responsible for a broad span of services, including regeneration and planning, economic development, transport and public realm, waste and recycling, community safety, environmental health and trading standards, together with leading for the Borough on all work associated with the 2012 Olympics and legacy planning.

Immediately prior to joining L&Q, Fiona was the Executive Director for Development, Enterprise and Environment at the Greater London Authority. As part of the senior management team for the GLA, she was responsible for overseeing the delivery and implementation of key strategies such as the London Plan, the Economic Development Strategy, transport, environment and climate change and in overseeing the operation of the Mayor’s powers in relation to significant planning applications in the capital.

Fiona also led on the delivery of major regeneration, infrastructure and economic development schemes such as Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea, Elephant and Castle, Croydon and Tottenham and the London Enterprise Panel funds. She has also chaired the Mayor’s Design Advisory Panel.
