Health and building safety
The safety of residents remains our number one priority. The Health and Building Safety Plan sets out how we’ll maintain this by improving the way we monitor and manage health and safety responsibilities and risks relating to homes, buildings, and wellbeing, and how we’ll meet essential legal and regulatory requirements.
Building safety
We’ll ensure long-term building safety and regulatory compliance through the proactive assessment and review of information about higher-risk buildings, the inspection and remediation of external wall systems (where this is required by law), and continued resident engagement initiatives.
Fire safety
We’ll improve fire safety standards by carrying out fire safety surveys, roof space inspections and a more frequent fire risk assessment programme in buildings that need these.
General health and safety
We’ll continuously improve L&Q’s occupational health and safety management system to ensure legal compliance and make sure residents, employees, contractors and members of the public are kept safe, and will work with other building owners and managing agents of buildings containing L&Q residents to ensure they are meeting essential safety standards. In addition to this we’ll deliver a comprehensive colleague wellbeing offer.
