Growth
We are here to provide social homes that meet housing need. The Growth Plan sets out how we’ll increase the number of social homes we’re able to offer through both the building of new housing and the acquisition of existing homes. It also outlines how we’ll make sure the homes we offer are affordable for us to construct and maintain, and affordable for residents to live in.
Delivering new homes
We’ll deliver our new homes development programme, building as many social homes as we can afford, and applying our new Single Homes Standard to social rent home specification, improving quality, affordability, sustainability, and long-term value.
Acquiring more social homes
We’ll expand our social homes offer in the North West through strategic partnerships with other organisations and the acquisition of existing social homes, where this means we can offer residents a better experience and deliver services more efficiently.
Affordability and risk control
We’ll maintain the affordability of our new homes development programme and make sure we’re managing the risks associated with this well, through clear investment criteria and checks and a disciplined approach to wider financial planning and monitoring.
Increasing development efficiency
We’ll improve the efficiency and consistency of our approach to building new homes, while making sure that we’re delivering quality and long-term value for money by introducing our Single Homes Standard for social rented homes. This will ensure homes are affordable to for us to construct and maintain, and affordable for residents to live in.
Resident satisfaction with new homes
We’ll improve resident satisfaction with their new home and maximise wider social impact through quality homes, community-centred design, effective resident communication, and responsive services.
