Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) at L&Q
Find out what STAIRs means for you and access information about your home and services, how we make decisions, how we manage our finances and how we're performing as a landlord.
About STAIRs
Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) are new rules for social housing landlords. They give social housing residents greater access to information about your home, our services, how we make decisions and how we're performing.
The requirements also cover social homes that other organisations manage on our behalf.
This video explains what STAIRs means for you:
What STAIRs means for you
STAIRs helps make the way we work more open and transparent.
The information we publish can help you understand:
- what you can expect from us
- how we manage your home and services
- how we're performing
- how and why we make decisions
- what we're doing to improve
It also helps you hold us to account for the homes and services we provide.
We'll review and update the information we publish under STAIRs to keep it useful and up to date.
Getting information from us
Our Publication Scheme is the main place to find information we publish under STAIRs. It includes information about how we spend money, how we're performing, how we make important decisions and what we're doing to improve homes and services.

If you cannot find what you need on our website, contact us and tell us what information you're looking for.
Call our customer service centre
From April 2027, you'll also be able to ask us for information about how we manage social housing through a new online service. We'll update this page with more details before the service starts.
View information we provide to the Regulator
Each year, we submit information about the homes we own and manage to the Regulator of Social Housing. This is called the Statistical Data Return (SDR).
The SDR includes information about our homes, rents, empty homes and changes to the number of homes we provide. As a registered social housing provider, we have to submit this information each year.
The Regulator publishes the information on the GOV.UK website alongside information from other registered housing providers. You can view the information we've submitted and information from previous years.
Some of the information we publish on our website also comes from our SDR.
How to find our information in the SDR
To view our information:
1. Go to Private registered provider social housing stock in England on GOV.UK
2. Choose the year you want to see under 'Documents'
3. Find and open the 'Private registered providers look-up tool' under 'Documents'
4. Download and open the Excel spreadsheet
5. Select 'Enable Editing' if asked
6. Open the 'PRP summary' tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet
7. In the yellow 'Select a PRP' box, enter 'London & Quadrant Housing Trust'
You'll then be able to see the information we submitted for that year.
