L&Q makes Stonewall's Top 100 Employers for fourth year running
L&Q has been ranked 79th in the Stonewall Top 100 Employers 2018, one of just six housing providers to feature this year. This is the fourth year running that L&Q has made top 100, up from 80th in 2017.
The Stonewall Top 100 Employers are the best performing employers on Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index 2018, an annual audit of workplace culture for lesbian, gay, bi and trans staff.
This year 434 employers submitted entries to the Index, across the public, private and third sectors. As part of the Index there is a staff feedback questionnaire that participating employers can ask their staff to complete.
L&Q scored particularly well on the staff survey and also on senior leadership support.
Stonewall received over 92,000 responses to the 2018 staff survey, making it one of the largest national employment surveys in Britain.
David Montague, Chief Executive of L&Q said: “We are honoured to be named as one of Stonewall’s top 100 employers and it reflects our strong commitment to diversity and to an inclusive workplace culture for LGBT staff and residents.
We will be unveiling a new diversity strategy later this year which aims to ensure this diverse and inclusive culture continues throughout the organisation and staff are represented, recognised and supported at every level.”
Josh Willacy from Stonewall said: “It is fantastic to see L&Q in the Stonewall Top 100 for the fourth time. The organisation’s commitment to being LGBT inclusive through innovative work and effective collaboration is remarkable. In a year of change within the sector, to be recognised in this way is a real achievement and very well deserved.”
