Residents living in Silwood Park in South East London can now use a new innovative multi-sports playground that was previously underused, attracting issues, like anti-social behaviour.

The park will be open and designed for people of all ages and abilities.

Mark Newstead, Director of Major Works at L&Q, said:

“We’re proud to be working with Play Innovation and Axis Europe to bring these underused spaces back to life for families to enjoy. The success of our collaboration demonstrates the importance of pushing boundaries and how innovation in creating modern playgrounds can help local communities to thrive."

The investment in the parks will include the installation of multi-sports goals inclusive play and sports equipment, a new outdoor gym and personal training zone.

The new facilities are designed to tackle inequality and to inspire people to become physically active in a fun, engaging way, as part of L&Q’s commitment to creating thriving neighbourhoods and sustainable communities.

To celebrate the opening of the new playground, a competition has also been launched for residents of Silwood Park to win a VIP experience and £250 of Nike vouchers.
