Allocations and lettings policies
Our allocations and lettings policies explain how we make the best use of each home.
They also set out the eligibility criteria you need to meet to rent or buy different types of homes.
- Intermediate Rent Allocation policy
This policy explains how we allocate homes under our intermediate rent products and how eligibility is assessed.
These homes are designed to help households who may not qualify for social housing but are not yet able to afford to buy on the open market, often while saving for a deposit.
- Shared Ownership Eligibility and Allocations policy
Shared ownership is an affordable way to get onto the property ladder for those who cannot afford to buy a home outright.
This policy sets out who is eligible for shared ownership, how we assess affordability, and how homes are allocated.

- Temporary Relocation During Repairs policy
We are committed to keeping your home safe and well maintained by carrying out essential repairs and improvements.
This policy explains how we support residents who need to move out temporarily, but only where work cannot be completed safely while they’re living in their home.
It also outlines when this may apply, how we minimise disruption, and how we help residents return home as quickly as possible.
- Tenure policy
This policy outlines the different types of tenure we offer, including tenancy agreements and homes for sale.
It provides clear guidance for people considering a home with L&Q, as well as for existing residents who already have an agreement with us.
