Volunteers Week 2026: Open Category
Our ‘Open Category’ award goes to Adeline Tan
As part of Volunteers Week 2026, L&Q colleagues nominated residents who go above and beyond for their communities, recognising those who are truly passionate about where they live through a series of awards.
Our ‘Open Category,’ award celebrates residents who doesn’t quite fit the previous categories but nevertheless deserves praise and recognition.
Open Category winner, Adeline Tan
Since becoming involved with L&Q, Adeline has quickly become one of our most actively involved residents, regularly taking part in workshops, consultations and resident involvement opportunities focused on homeowners and shared owners.
She has supported a range of projects including reviewing service charge letters, contributing to shared ownership research and taking part in consultations around housing policy and reform.

“As a fairly recent L&Q resident, I've enjoyed volunteering with L&Q and learning more about housing associations in general. It's also been nice to meet and work with some really wonderful people,” Adeline said.
Eszter Pordany-Horvath, who nominated Adeline for the award, praised her “valuable contributions” and described her as “a pleasure to work with.”
Adeline hopes to continue contributing as an involved resident for many years to come.
