L&Q residents, colleagues and partners came together for the much-anticipated annual charity football tournament.

The event, held at Chobham Harris Academy earlier this month, was organised by L&Q Living to raise money for Minds Matter FC – a team of L&Q residents with mental health needs.

This year, the tournament raised a staggering £7,700 for the club, the funds will go towards new equipment, pitch fees, league registration and travel.

The tournament attracted 12 corporate teams, making it the largest event to date, with Martin Arnold football team taking home this year’s much-coveted trophy for the second year running.

Angie Hooper, Chair of Minds Matter FC and New Business Director at L&Q, said:

“As ever, it was a competitive tournament with some high-scoring matches, and it was nice to see some new teams supporting our cause. Thanks to the generous support, we raised £7,700 this year. This means so much to our Minds Matter FC, which allows them to continue to play league football and have the training equipment and kit they need.

“Congratulations to our semi-finalists; Calford Seaden, Hill, Martin Arnold and RLB, and of course huge congratulations to this year’s winners: Martin Arnold, who retain the cup again!”
