L&Q's Brentford Family Fun Day a Success
L&Q welcomed Brentford residents to their family fun day at the Watermans Art Centre last weekend.
The event offered locals the opportunity to find out more about the affordable homes and open space L&Q is hoping to create on the former Citroën Garage site. There was also plenty to keep the whole family entertained from face painting to house building competitions.
Attendees were invited to get involved in the design of the new public square the development will house and were able to vote on how they would like the space to look.
The proposed development will provide over 400 new homes including much needed family housing and up to 40% affordable homes.
L&Q’s PricedIn experts were on hand to offer advice to first time buyers, explaining available options, such as shared ownership and Help to Buy.
Ed Tibbetts, Senior Design and Planning Manager from L&Q, said: “It has been great to meet and get to know some of the local community in Brentford.
“I hope they liked our plans for the new homes and public square and we welcomed their thoughts on how they would like it to look. We are looking forward to holding another event like this in the near future.”
The new development will have a mix of studio, 1, 2, and 3 bed homes available, a nursery, retail space and even a restaurant available on site.
