Have your say on building safety

Published on 30/01/2019

The government wants to hear how well residents and landlords work together on fire and structural safety issues and how residents are supported to meet their responsibilities.

The consultation, run by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, is looking to find out how safe residents of high-rise buildings feel. One outcome may be to give residents a stronger voice on building safety issues.

The consultation builds on Dame Judith Hackitt’s report, Building a Safer Future, which said that residents have an important role to play in helping keep their building safe.

You have until 12 February to have your say.
