L&Q welcome the appointment of Kate Henderson as the new Chief Executive of the National Housing Federation.

She is the current Chief Executive of the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) and will succeed David Orr who will be stepping down from his role this autumn.

David Montague, Chief Executive of L&Q, said:

“David Orr was never going to be an easy person to replace but I am delighted that Kate Henderson has taken up the role, having done such a brilliant job at the TCPA.

With housing at the top of the domestic agenda, housing associations have a vital role to play in shaping policy and being key partners in tackling the housing crisis. And with someone as well-versed in housing as Kate at the helm, I am confident that the Federation has an extraordinary successor to David and someone who will contribute passion, energy, and effective leadership to her new position.”
