L&Q's Growth strategic plan

We're here to provide social homes that meet housing need.

Our Growth strategic plan explains how we'll provide more social homes by building new homes and buying existing ones.

It also sets out how we'll make sure these homes are affordable for us to build and maintain, and affordable for residents to live in.

Delivering new homes

We'll build as many new social homes as we can afford, using our Single Homes Standard to improve the quality, affordability and sustainability of new social rented homes.

The Single Homes Standard sets out our expectations for the quality, affordability, sustainability and long-term value of these homes.

Acquiring more social homes

We'll work with other organisations and buy existing social homes to increase the number of homes we can offer in the North West.

We'll focus on opportunities that improve residents' experience and help us deliver services more efficiently.

Affordability and risk control

We'll manage the costs and financial risks of building new homes to make sure our development programme remains affordable.

We'll do this by carefully assessing investment decisions, monitoring costs and planning our finances.

Increasing development efficiency

We'll improve how we plan and build new homes to make our development programme more efficient and consistent.

We'll use our Single Homes Standard to help us maintain quality, control costs and provide homes that offer long-term value.

Resident satisfaction with new homes

We'll work to improve residents' satisfaction with their new homes by providing good-quality homes and designing neighbourhoods around people's needs.

We'll also focus on clear communication with residents and responsive services to help make moving into and living in a new home a better experience.
