Financial resilience, viability and funding capacity
We'll strengthen our financial position by managing borrowing responsibly, finding different sources of funding and reducing our reliance on income from property sales.
We'll also make better use of financial information to help us improve services, work more efficiently and get value for money.
Optimising financial control
We'll improve how we manage, monitor and report on our finances to help us make informed decisions and meet accounting and regulatory requirements.
We'll also strengthen how we assess our financial position and work with the people and organisations involved in our financial activities.
Optimising our supply chain
We'll improve how we work with suppliers and contractors to make sure we get good value for money.
This includes improving how we select and manage suppliers, checking that they meet our requirements and making sure our supply arrangements can respond to changing needs.
Social value
We'll make sure our high-value contracts continue to deliver benefits for residents and communities beyond the services being provided.
These benefits will reflect residents' priorities and may include training and employment opportunities, community projects and improvements to local green spaces and wildlife habitats.
