Sharon Burns appointed as L&Q's new Housing Management Director

L&Q’s housing management team will be led by Trafford Housing Trust’s former Executive Director of Customer Operations as it undergoes a restructure which will see a more localised service for residents.

Sharon Burns, who had been with THT since 2006, will start the newly created Director of Housing Management role on December 1st.

She will be responsible for leading on L&Q’s improvement plans for the housing management team.

At THT, Sharon led the organisation’s operational services and embedded a real focus on customer voice and engagement.

In her new role, she will lead on the planned restructure, which will see a return to a patch-based housing management structure, with housing colleagues responsible for small groups of around 500 - 600 homes.

“At the moment, our housing management structures can be opaque and confusing, so we will be aligning our structure with the local authority areas in which we operate. By providing enough staff who have the time and space to get to know residents and their issues, we aim to deliver a service that we, and residents, can be proud of.”
