Resident wins £100 in monthly Major Works Investment Programme draw

An L&Q resident had a “pleasant surprise” after winning £100 for filling out a survey about works to her home.

Amanda, from Slough, had works carried out to her home as part of L&Q’s Major Works Investment Programme.

Amanda’s bungalow had a new kitchen, new windows, a new roof and a number of energy efficiency improvement works, carried out by Equans.

After the kitchen was fitted, she was sent an SMS survey by L&Q to fill out about the work she had done.

She continued: “The survey didn’t take long at all. I did it on my phone while I had a cup of tea, and it literally took 5 or 10 minutes, so it’s well worth doing.

“It was a nice little bonus. I never win anything, so I was really surprised."

Amanda was already very pleased with the work, which included new loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, smoke alarms, and air filters.

“It’s so much warmer. I used to have a bit of damp and condensation, but it’s really made a difference,” she said.

“The kitchen is lovely. There were loads of choices for colours and finishes. I’d also previously had a burst pipe so to have new cupboards was great.

“The workers were lovely. Everybody was lovely. They did a really good job and they always answered all my questions. I’m really glad I had it all done.”

James Jennings, Divisional Manager at Equans, said:

“Feedback from residents is what keeps us on track; helping us to see what we have done well and what really matters. Letting us know where we could have done better also helps us to evolve and improve.

“When we get positive feedback, it’s great - happy residents mean we're doing something right in our mission to make every home that we work in the best it can be.

“Congratulations to Amanda, who was December’s resident survey winner. We’d encourage all residents to submit their feedback and be in with a chance of being next month’s winner.”

Paula Botha, Head of Delivery (West) at L&Q, said:

“I’m thrilled that Amanda is happy with the work she’s had done in her home, and that by filling out the feedback form, she has won £100.

“Resident feedback is really useful to us, so we can make sure we’re always offering the best service.”
