L&Q partners with Cook for Change to back community food enterprises

L&Q has partnered with Cook for Good to offer five fully funded places on Cook for Change, a seven-month development programme for London-based food and cooking organisations that support people living in social housing.
The programme is aimed at voluntary groups and early-stage social enterprises looking to strengthen their financial resilience by generating trading income alongside grant funding.
Starting this June, Cook for Change includes three-day immersive bootcamps, leadership and financial coaching, pitch training with Google, and ongoing advisory support from food experts, chefs and corporate partners. Attendees will finish the programme with a showcase pitch event and a clearer plan for sustainable growth.
An open event will be held on Monday 23 February, midday to 2pm at Cook for Good Pantry, Priory Freen, London, N1 9DG, where prospective participants can learn more about what’s involved.

Jo Pope, Strategic Partnerships Manager, said:
“With food insecurity being such a high priority, we are very excited to be one of the four partners in this great programme. Our aim is that by supporting community food focused social enterprises today, it will help create food security tomorrow.”
