Morgan Sindall Property Services, working with L&Q, recently supported a mental health initiative by inviting campaigners to visit its offices in Tottenham.

Combat2Coffee is a charity which works to improve the mental health, wellbeing and outcomes for veterans, ex-uniformed personnel, their families and communities. The charity operates a mental health and wellbeing coffee shop on the same road.
The event was held to offer a space for colleagues and contractors working on improving L&Q’s homes in the area to talk about their experiences and challenge the stigma around mental health.

Morgan Sindall Property Services is one of ten partners working on L&Q’s Major Works Investment Programme. This is seeing the leading housing association invest around £3bn over 15 years to improve the safety, comfort, and environmental performance of residents’ homes.
Morgan Sindall is improving L&Q’s homes across North London and undertaking significant upgrades to Steve Biko Court in Westminster and Nevern Place in Kensington.
Beyond improving homes, the partnership includes social value commitments to create a lasting impact in the communities where L&Q operates.

Mark Newstead, Director of Major Programmes at L&Q, said:
“Morgan Sindall Property Services are a key partner in our drive to ensure that residents have safe, decent and warm homes. Alongside upgrading hundreds of kitchens and bathrooms, and replacing windows and doors, they’ve also taken the time to organize events like this.
"Many colleagues who work in the building trades face pressures, and it’s so important to get together, have open conversations about mental health and do everything we can to support each other."
Arjun Ghosh, Social Value Officer for Morgan Sindall, said:
“We had a great response from staff and contractors who came together for a cuppa and a chat. What better way to spend an afternoon than letting your hair down and having an honest conversation about mental health in the workplace, the pressures of modern life and work/life balance.
"Social value is not just about delivering projects in the community. It's also about helping and supporting staff and those we work with.”
