L&Q Living wins Best Supported Living Landlord at UK Housing Awards
L&Q Living is celebrating today after winning Best Supported Living Landlord and receiving a commendation for the Best Partnership award at yesterday’s UK Housing Awards in Manchester.
Our dedicated housing and support service was in the running for three coveted spots in the finals after being shortlisted in three categories, including Best Older Persons Landlord, Best Supported Living Landlord and Best Partnership.
The latter award is for our partnership with Enterprise East, a charity that operates its café at Cornell Court and offers valuable work experience opportunities to individuals with learning disabilities.
Charlie Culshaw, Director of Care and Support, said:
“I am delighted to receive the UK Housing Award for Best Supported Living Landlord and highly commended for Best Partnership with the amazing Enterprise East who runs Café Cornell.
“I could not be prouder of the L&Q Living team. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and passion that each and every one of our colleagues put into their work on a daily basis.
"I look forward to continuing our partnership with Enterprise East and helping even more disadvantaged people into paid work.”
Judges at the UK Housing Awards said:
"L&Q's supported living service has a remarkable breadth and scope. Their approach embraces diversity and can illustrate their service's value on both financial and quality grounds. They also present an opportunity for others to learn and replicate."
The UK Housing Awards serves as a platform to highlight success stories and innovative ideas within the social housing sector in the UK.
Now in its 27th year, the awards aim to recognise social landlords, charities, and partners who actively engage with their communities to deliver positive resident outcomes.
