L&Q further strengthens its Group Board with new appointment
L&Q has today announced a senior Board appointment, further strengthening the housing association’s governance as it embarks on its new five-year strategy.
Jocelyn McConnachie will join as a Group Board member in spring 2026.
Jocelyn is currently a Non-Executive Director at Abri Group, where she chairs the housing association’s People and Culture Committee and serves on the Audit and Risk Committee.
She previously served as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Governance, Risk and Audit Committee at Western Isles NHS Board, and as Deputy Chair of the Customer Engagement Group for Western Power Distribution, which provided independent scrutiny and championed customer priorities.
She has also served as an Executive Board member with CalMac Ferries and National Grid, and held a global leadership role at E.ON. She has extensive experience of championing customer priorities and leading large-scale strategic transformation.
Liam Coleman, L&Q Group Chair, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Jocelyn to L&Q’s Group Board. As we embark on our new five-year strategy, her expertise in championing the voices of residents in decision making and driving customer service improvements whilst maintaining financial resilience will be invaluable.”
The appointment was made after a detailed review and skills audit of L&Q’s Group Board members.
L&Q’s new five-year strategy, Our Future Shape 2026-31 (PDF), was launched in March 2026. This focuses on continuing the organisation’s improvement journey, listening to residents and delivering safe, comfortable homes and dependable services.
