Children in Barking celebrated their last day of term before the Christmas break with arts and crafts, face painting and a gaming bus.

The event, which was hosted by L&Q at Parkside Community Centre, was a great success, with 37 residents coming along to join in the festivities.

It was supported by two Major Works partners – Kier, who donated chocolate box and helped on the craft table, and Durkan who also supplied chocolates for children.

Kalee Sohanpal, Community Development Lead, said:

“It was a brilliant afternoon, with mince pies and hot chocolate for everyone who came along.

“Thanks to our Major Works partners for their support with the fantastic festive event.”
