Government seeks views on social housing

Minister of State for Housing and Planning Alok Sharma wants to hear from social housing residents about their homes and the services landlords provide. Their views will help shape the government’s Green Paper on Social Housing, which is due for publication in the spring.

Residents and other people with an interest in social housing can have their say via an online questionnaire, which is open until the end of January 2018.

Mr Sharma is looking to find out more about people’s concerns and hopes for social housing. Following discussions with some national tenant organisations, he is particularly keen to hear from residents about:

  •          How landlords manage complaints
  •          Whether landlords provide good, consistent services.
  •          How residents influence landlords’ policies and processes

He would also like to hear from residents about how safe they feel in their homes.

The questionnaire is open until 31 January 2018.
