L&Q is delighted to announce that Vicky Savage is to join its development team as Regional Managing Director for the South Region.

Vicky is currently Executive Director of Development at Network where she has worked for more than ten years. Vicky oversaw rapid expansion in development activity at Network, leading it to achieve one of the sector’s largest stock increases last year.

Vicky is also the Vice Chair of the London G15 Development Directors Group and has worked in a range of affordable housing development roles for over 20 years. She has a degree in Urban Planning and a post graduate qualification in Housing from the London School of Economics.

From late Spring 2018, Vicky will lead L&Q’s South region, which delivered 750 new homes this year and currently has a pipeline of over 5,000 homes. The region covers the London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Kingston upon Thames, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Richmond, Southwark, Sutton and Wandsworth.

L&Q’s Quebec Way development at Canada Water in the London Borough of Southwark is one of the Group’s flagship schemes in the region and will deliver 368 new homes through its own in-house construction team.

Other notable developments that will come under Vicky’s remit, include a joint venture with the Anderson Group which will deliver 600 homes and a new school in Erith, Bexley, 500 new homes delivered in partnership with Lend Lease at the Elephant & Castle and 365 homes at Greenwich Peninsula.

Jerome Geoghegan, Group Director of Development at L&Q said: “We’re thrilled to be further strengthening our development team with the appointment of Vicky Savage. Vicky has an excellent track record of delivering high quality, large scale development and will help L&Q achieve our aims of significantly increasing our output.”

Vicky Savage, who will take up the role of Regional Managing Director for the South Region at L&Q, said: “L&Q’s reputation in the development arena is second to none. I am delighted to be joining at this time and to be a key part of the L&Q’s future growth and success”

Vicky’s role forms part of L&Q’s newly regionalised development team, which aims to increase output to support the Group’s ambition to enable the delivery of 100,000 new homes over the next ten years. L&Q currently has more than 80,000 homes in its development pipeline and plans to be enabling the delivery of 5,000 new homes a year by 2020. The pipeline will deliver the full range of tenures, split evenly between market sale, private rent, shared ownership and sub market rent.

The new regionalised development structure is designed to deliver a pipeline which has increased seven fold in the last five years. It is scalable to support further growth and to some extent mirrors the volume housebuilder model. It also brings East Thames’ development activity into the fold, following the merger last year.

Vicky appointment is part of a significant recruitment drive across the development function as L&Q seeks build its four regional teams to support growth plans. She joins Craig Luttman, Regional Managing Director for the Counties; Stuart Miller, Regional Managing Director for the North Region; and Andy Rowland, Regional Managing Director for the East Region.
