September L&Q jobs fair is the biggest yet

L&Q's September jobs fair was their biggest yet, with 644 people attending to meet 35 potential employers.

The event was particularly special for Terry Bell, 31, who was promoting opportunities with K&M McLoughlin Decorating Ltd.

Terry had come to another L&Q jobs fair in May looking for work, and met his new boss Allan Montague of K&M McLoughlin Decorating Ltd.

He said: “Last time I was here, Allan told me all about his company and invited me to come to their place in Islington and do a four-week training course, which I really enjoyed. I’ve wanted to get into painting and decorating since I was 16 and the course has been brilliant at building my confidence.

“Thanks to Allan, I’m now working and studying for an apprenticeship one day a week. Today, I came back to the jobs fair four months after we met and now I’m sitting on the other side of the desk trying to help other people into work.”
