As a charitable housing association, we know that the place you live should offer you an opportunity to live a better life. And no-one understands their community’s needs more than the people who live there – you.

We take a ‘place-based’ approach to community investment, focusing our support on areas where we can make the biggest impact.

We work with local people to develop projects and fund initiatives on issues they tell us matter most to them.

Last month, we were delighted to hold two community engagement events at the Winsor Park Estate in Newham, and Ocean Estate in Tower Hamlets. These were an opportunity to hear from residents about their priorities, and how we might be able to help.

A range of grassroots organisations and local services that we work with pitched in to support, including the West Ham Foundation, Lower Regents Coalition and Stepney City Farm.

We had some help from our Major Works Investment Programme partners too. Kier Group, Equans UK & Ireland and Morgan Sindall all chipped in, from sponsoring food, drinks and activities to lending a hand with a community clean-up.

From local events to consultations and surveys, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and share your views. Your input will help make sure our projects are right for your community.
