Graduates, Apprenticeships and Work Experience
At L&Q we have two streams for entry-level talent. You can join us as an apprentice, a graduate or do some work experience in either the business or the technical stream.
Our graduate programme aims to bring in staff who can, through perseverance and hard work, rise up the ranks. Our scheme offers a three-year structured learning plan. We support graduates to progress in their chosen career pathway and to achieve membership of a professional body.
We need people with relevant qualifications and skills but we also need people with the right values, attitudes and behaviours to join us.
Our current graduate opportunities are available in our development, construction and finance departments.
“I think the graduate scheme is the way forward. Being a graduate gives you the freedom to train and develop and I have grown as a person.”
Rija Khawaja, Assistant Technical Coordinator
L&Q apprenticeships have been designed to help you build the career you've always wanted. This opportunity will help you to get your foot on the ladder with an organisation that supports you from beginning to end and beyond.
The programme aims to provide individuals with on the job experiences whilst working towards gaining a recognised qualification. We currently recruit twice a year in various disciplines including finance, construction and housing.
“Our apprenticeship programme offers our residents the chance to work here and learn new skills. Many of them go on to be permanent members of staff. It gives them the option to choose a different life.”
Paul Nehra, Community Investment Manager
L&Q’s work experience programme introduces young people to the world of work and recognises it as a valuable and essential part of their education.
The scheme is for young people aged 14 to 18 and is based mainly in the Sidcup and Stratford offices, due to the availability of roles. Up to 48 places will be on offer each year and candidates will be able to choose their preferred area of work.
