About Supported Living

L & Q's Supported Housing department provide:

• support, under contract to administering authorities
• agency partnerships to deliver homes with support
• housing management in L&Q SL owned homes
• new and improved homes for support service users

We provide quality homes and support for people who need help towards independent living.

Our Supported Housing departments runs as a ringfenced, not for-for-profit business within L&Q and does not have independent legal status. Board member Peter Robinson directs our business with authority delegated from the L&Q Governing Board.

The Supported Housing department pays its way financially, as L&Q does not expect to subsidise service users from the rents of other tenants. All surpluses are used to cover risk, and enable growth and stock improvement.

We help L&Q create places where people want to live. Our mission to provide quality homes and support for people who need help towards independent living, sits clearly within the corporate mission.
