Do you want to move across London? 

If you live in London and are considering moving then g15 London Moves may be able to help you.

g15 London Moves is a pilot project helping g15 social housing tenants increase their opportunities to move across London.

Pilot Scheme

This scheme gives you the chance for a move, while keeping terms similar to your current tenancy.

To register for the scheme you need to be:

  • Unemployed with a job offer in writing for 16 hours or more a week, close to the potential location of your new home

or

  • In full-time education or training linked to a firm job offer in writing for 16 hours or more a week

or

  • In employment for at least 13 weeks but the distance from your home to work is making it hard to keep your job. (Your job must be for 16 hours or more a week)

or

  • Considering moving to a smaller home by giving up one bedroom or more

or

  • Providing care

or

  • Wanting to live in another area of London

Eligibility

To register for this scheme you need to be: 

  • A tenant of a g15 landlord **
  • A secure or assured tenant
  • A tenant for at least a year

You'll also need to:

  • Have a good rental payment record
  • Have had no reports of anti-social behaviour in the last 12 months about anyone in your household
  • Have kept your home in good condition

Step one

The first step is to register on the website www.g15londonmoves.org.uk.

You'll be asked to provide information to prove that you are eligible for this scheme.

Step two

Once you've registered you'll be able to search for homes online and bid for a home that meets your needs.

Step three

If you're eligible and find yourself at the top of a short list of bidders for the home you want, you'll have a chance to view and move to your new home, subject to the usual checks and verification of your details. You may have a new landlord, but your tenancy terms and conditions will be similar.

The g15 is comprised of: A2 Dominion, Affinity Sutton, Amicus Horizon, Catalyst Housing, Circle Anglia, East Thames Group, Family Mosaic, Genesis, The Hyde Group, L&Q, Metropolitan Housing Partnership, Network Housing Group, Notting Hill Housing, Peabody and Southern Housing Group.
