L&Q, together with award winning architects Conran & Partners, has announced new dates for public exhibitions of revised plans for the redevelopment of the Walthamstow Stadium site.

The two dates in late March are an opportunity for local residents to view and discuss L&Q’s new plans for a £50m iconic development which preserves the heritage of the site and provides around 300 new homes, a modern leisure centre, children’s nursery, allotments and new jobs to meet the needs of local people.

Steve Yianni, L&Q’s Regional Director for North London said: “These events continue our community consultation which to date has included surveys, one to one meetings with local people, residents’ focus groups as well as meetings with students, local businesses, organisations and resident associations. As a result of this ongoing consultation we have already revised our plans to incorporate some of the feedback we have had from local communities and other bodies.

“These events are an important part of our in-depth and ongoing community consultation process and we hope that local residents take the opportunity to come and view our new plans and to speak to us about them”.

The public consultation events – which are open to everyone to attend – will be held on:

Saturday 26 March – 10am – 3pm at the Vestry House Museum (Vestry Road Walthamstow E17 9NH) How to get there

Monday 28 March – 4 - 8pm – Rush Croft Sports College (Rushcroft Road Chingford London E4 8SG) How to get there
