New greener homes in London

One Vale St completed siteCompleted on 20 May 2009, One Vale Street is located within 1.5 miles of leafy Dulwich Village in Lambeth and continues L&Q’s commitment to the development of affordable sustainable housing.

It is the first large scale inner London scheme to be delivered to this level of sustainability and provides 60 high quality homes for affordable rent and part buy, part rent, including a high percentage of large family houses and apartments.

The development has so many eco features to reduce its carbon footprint that these homes will be 44% better than a standard home in terms of CO2 emissions, energy efficiency and environmental sensitivity.

One Vale Street includes:

  • Triple glazed windows giving residents a warmer and quieter home
  • Super insulated external walls to reduce fuel bills
  • Communal bio mass boiler - a cutting edge system that brings down the cost of heating and hot water
  • Recycling facilities on site
  • Extensive and secure bicycle storage
