L&Q staff and residents “Go Ape”

Apr 18 2011

go apeL&Q staff, together with helpers from the Urban Academy and Richmond Housing Partnership, took 35 young people from the Butts Farm Youth Club on an adventure through the trees at “Go Ape” in Swinley Woods, Bracknell.

Groups of young people and staff set out on a gruelling course through the tree tops which pushed their teambuilding and problem solving skills to the limit. The course took about 2½ hours to complete and despite the hard work and effort needed the day passed without a hitch.

Janet Feakes, Neighbourhood Investment Officer at L&Q, said: “The idea behind the day was to help the young people develop their confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.

“It was also a great chance to strengthen relationships between L&Q staff, our partners from the Urban Academy and Richmond Housing partnership, and the local community.”
