Grove Park Youngsters Get Creative This Easter

Apr 21 2011

Grove Park Easter 1

Children from Grove Park have been very busy over the Easter holidays with an action-packed initiative from L&Q and with Grove Park community services.

Open to all the community, the children – between the ages of seven and 15 – took part in a range of activities – including horse riding, visits to a tropical zoo, martial arts and football.

Budding chefs took part in cookery and healthy eating classes, and young people even had the opportunity to learn about the art of barbering.

Sonia Meggie, Neighbourhood Investment Coordinator at L&Q, said; “The Easter activities were very successful and everyone taking part had a fantastic time, learning new skills and meeting new people. Helping keep young people entertained through the holidays is just one of the ways in which we support local communities in which we work.”
