Young people from Grove Park in Lewisham took the opportunity to try out all sorts of new activities over the recent half-term holiday.

Between 30 and 40 young people each day took part in activities ranging from jewellery-making to ice-skating and tree climbing.

One young resident said that this was the highlight of his year so far: "It was really exciting climbing trees and helping to support other team members. It was brilliant and I met loads of new friends."

The Grove Park Youth Club put on the activities with funding from L&Q and community organisation Connections PNYP.

Sonia Meggie, Neighbourhood Investment Coordinator at L&Q, said: "This programme has been a real success. Local residents have seen a general improvement and less anti-social behaviour by young people."
