L&Q has teamed up with a beauty salon in Eltham, Greenwich, to
give 10 young people the opportunity to train towards a diploma in
"nail technology".
The course covers:
- health and Hygiene
- tip application and removal
- nail disorders and diseases
- acrylic nails
- aftercare and retail advice
- customer Care
Mary Rouse from L&Q, who arranged the partnership, said: "Nail Technology offers genuine career opportunities. There is currently a shortage of qualified nail technicians and we see this as a practical way forward for young people to learn new skills and improve their employment prospects."
The programme also offers a 12 month support package designed to help young people into further education, gain employment or to set up their own business.
