Croydon: Deputy Mayor visits community Dance and Drama project

The Deputy Mayor of Croydon, Councillor David Fitze, joined Elevating Success on Saturday 16th July to witness the success of a Dance and Drama project.

The night’s performances by 40 talented young Croydon residents aged 10-19 marked the end of a 4-month programme of Dance and Drama training funded by four social landlords, AmicusHorizon, Croydon Churches, Croydon Council and London & Quadrant.

Asif Chisty, Neighbourhood Investment Officer at L&Q, said; “We were delighted to be involved in the dance and drama 2011 project. There are so many talented young people in our community and this project was a great opportunity for all involved to improve their skills. L&Q is committed to the local community and we will continue to support young people in any way we can.”
