Football tournament a success

More than 70 young footballers from Merton, Lambeth and Wandsworth took part in a football tournament in Tooting over the recent half-term holiday.

The teams came from four football projects that L&Q supports. They had been training hard in recent weeks to give the tournament their best shot.

Kevin Jones, L&Q's Neighbourhood Services Director, went along to watch some of the games and present the medals and trophies.

Asif Chisty, Neighbourhood Investment Officer at L&Q, said: "What better way to promote community cohesion than through sport? I was very pleased to see over 70 young people attending the tournament and enjoying themselves."
