10. What do I need to do?

If your block is being upgraded, then the minimum you need to do is respond to SCCI’s letters and make an appointment for them to come and fit your new socket outlet. If you do not do this, then you may not be able to receive TV once any old existing system is turned off.

If you already have digital TV and/or satellite TV, SCCI will connect you to the new socket outlet and all your existing services will continue, as before.

If you do not have digital/satellite TV, just an analogue TV, SCCI will still connect you to the new socket outlet and you will still be able to receive analogue TV (i.e. the 5 main channels), but only until Switchover. If you want to receive digital TV and/or satellite TV, you need to buy the appropriate set-top box or digital TV. SCCI can help you, through their after sales arm called "Love Digital TV". You can contact them on 0845 291 2012 or info@lovedigitaltv.co.uk , letting them know that you are served by a communal system.

If you do not have a TV at all (and do not intend to obtain one) you are still obliged to have the new socket outlet fitted (for use by future residents).
