23. I can already get Sky, so why do I need a new system?
If you are receiving Sky via an existing communal Integrated Reception system (IRS or IRS+), then, in general, your block will not be upgraded anyway, unless there are special reasons for needing to do so.
If you are receiving Sky via the so-called Free Shared Dish (FSD) scheme and if there is no communal terrestrial TV distribution system, then a new IRS+ will be installed and you will be moved onto the new system.
If you are receiving Sky via your own individual satellite dish because there is currently no communal satellite reception available, then a new communal system will be installed and you will be moved onto the new system. Your existing individual satellite dish will be removed as it will no longer be required, in keeping with L&Q’s policy of reducing the number of satellite dishes on its properties in order to comply with planning regulations.
