25. Can I have additional TV outlets in my flat?

The basic principle being followed by L&Q when doing the digital TV upgrade is "like-for-like".

So whatever additional sockets/services are already in place, they will be included in an upgrade. If you have a slave socket fed off your master socket, this will be fed off the new master socket. If you have additional sockets fed from an existing communal system, they will be fed from the new communal system.

If however you would like new additional sockets (which are not currently installed in your flat), these can be ordered directly from SCCI preferably at the time they do the survey of your block and in case before they commence the installation. The resident is responsible for payment for additional new sockets, directly to SCCI.

L&Q have negotiated prices for new additional sockets as follows:

New slave outlet: £42 + VAT;

New IRS+ outlet, fed off the communal system: £165 + VAT;

As a last resort, it may be possible to install new additional outlets after the main upgrade installation has been completed, provided there are spare outlets available from the communal system, but at a necessarily higher price of £217+ VAT.
