What does my rent and/or service charge pay for?
We rely on you paying your rent and/or service charges regularly and quickly so that we can pay for the upkeep of your home and carry out communal repairs as well as housing management.

How do you work out my rent?

What should I do if I think my rent is incorrect?
If you think your rent has been calculated incorrectly, please tell us by initially contacting our Housing Services Team on 0800 015 6536 (please select option 3).

Do I need to let Housing Benefit know of changes to my rent?
It is your responsibility to check that Housing Benefit have received and acted upon information that we send to them.

What do my service charges pay for?
Service charges cover the costs of maintaining communal areas.

What is a ‘fixed’ service charge?
Fixed service charges are those where we (L&Q) fix the charge according to our own estimates and costs.

What is a ‘variable’ service charge?
Variable service charges can be changed in accordance with the provisions of your lease or tenancy agreement.

What does my management fee cover?
Your management fee pays for three important areas of service which we provide.

I pay for a caretaker. How do you work out these costs?
If you receive a caretaking service, your charge covers a percentage of the cost of providing and supervising the caretaker who looks after the block/scheme where you live.
