Can a group of residents do their own communal cleaning and gardening?

Residents are expected to keep halls, corridors and landings immediately outside their own home clean and tidy.

Residents occasionally ask if they can take over the cleaning of larger communal areas of a building or gardening on their estate from our contractor. This is generally not practicable for any large building or estate where there are many residents and new people will be moving in fairly frequently.

In exceptional circumstances, we will consider a request if all residents want it for a small building or estate. We would need to be satisfied that standards would be maintained, and would have to reintroduce contractors if we thought it necessary.
