David Gannicott

David Gannicott has been a Group Director of L&Q since 1998, initially as Regional Director of South East Thames. He has worked at executive level in the registered social landlord sector for the last 25 years.

Previous roles

Before joining L&Q he was Group Operations Director for the East Thames Housing Group, entering the registered social landlord movement from the private property sector.

David's background and experience is wide ranging and covers all aspects of housing association work, with a focus on growth and operational leadership but with significant experience in sales, finance, HR and development.

As Director of Boleyn and Forest, a subsidiary of East Thames, he built up the organisation to become one of the most successful low cost home ownership organisations in London with a reputation for commercial development and highly tuned leasehold management services.

Current role

At L&Q, David is responsible for strategic operations south of the river Thames, focusing on growth through estate regeneration, stock transfer and organic development. He is responsible for stakeholder relations with L&Q's partners, particularly local authorities. Around 28,000 homes make up the south region property portfolio.

David is also Vice Chair of Lewisham Homes, a local arms-length management organisation of around 17,000 homes
